GERMANTOWN HILLS - James S. McGeath, 67, of Germantown Hills, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at his residence.
He was born on March 17, 1940, in Springfield, the son of James G. and Thelma M. Cornish McGeath. Surviving are four daughters, Mandy Doyle of Zeeland, Mich., Tami Ellis of Springfield, Michelle McGeath of Knoxville, Tenn., and Becky McGeath of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth McGeath of Arizona and Glenn McGeath of Springfield. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert, and a sister, Loy Jean Dodd.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he worked for various factories before his retirement.
He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Izaak Walton League, Woodford County Chapter.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
