Hey Tyler, from basic training to the unit, you were a great person to be with. I really miss you even if its been seven years, you really made a impact in my life. I know your up there watching over us, but i want you to know i have a family now. They would love you and see why the military brings friends close together. Every 21 march i drink one, not to get hammered but for you that i think up there they dont have beer. I miss you and will always remember the last conversation we had, to answer your question, your father would be proud. Ill see you someday but until then, ill make the most of life. Love you brother.

There is not a day that goes by with out me thinking of Tyler & our last talk on the phone.I am so sorry Aunt Wendey & love you so much.March is such a hard month to go thru since we lost Tyler.He is so missed.

I had no idea what happened until today. I remember him coming into our company right out of basic Only a couple months after we came back from Iraq. He was a hard worker and a great guy. I'm so sorry to hear of his loss. He was well liked by everyone as soon as he was assigned to our company. To all his friends and family I am deeply sorry for your loss and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

My son served with Tyler at FOB Falcon and is good friends with Wally. Now that he's been home a few months he's started to open up a little about what happened over there. He told me about Tyler and what a great guy he was. Know that his fellow Engineers really liked him. My son wears a remembrance bracelet with your son's name on it.

It's been hard without you, but every time I get upset or feel as though all I can do is give up I'm reminded of you and how you would always give everything all you had. I bought a tribute bracelet today and wanted to know more about the soldier whose name I wear on my arm. My heart goes out to his family and words cannot express the respect and thanks that I have for all that put their lives on the line for the freedoms that we have. Thank you so very much to all who fight for this country so that we may be free. May you never be forgotten.

I will miss you Tyler. You were a good friend to my son. You have a beautiful wife who is also a good friend. You made a mean dip for the party. I loved it. I remember making fun of your name that one night we were at Neal's; Tyler Jacob Jingleheimer Smith, it was fun. You will not be forgotten. I still have that picture of you in the wig on my phone. Thank you for your sacrifce. It really does mean something. Go with God and keep watch over us.

The crew just hasn't been the same without you Smith. The truck is quite, and our words are nothing but mutters. We wait for your LONG boring stories. Your singing that hurt our ears. You pointing out the obvious in your sector, and us all getting a good laugh. But there is nothing... All we can do is keep to ourselves, and think. I go back to the room, and wait for you humming the sounds of a engine when you play car games on Playstation. And theres nothing. We will miss you Smith, you were a damn good gunner, roomate, and friend...

You were a good soldier Smith, it's a shame how life comes to a complete stop sometimes. I was proud to be your squad leader

Tyler was a very good friend to my brother, and family. He used to come over for parties and cookouts. He was a really great guy, and will be missed by many. Gone but not forgotten.

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT NEVER WILL I FORGET TYLER OR THE SACRAFICE HE MADE SO EACH AND EVERYONE OF US COULD CONTINUE TO LIVE FREE. YOU WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY NEAL, ME AND THE CHILDREN . OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND HIS WIFE HEATHER.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

As a parent, who has lost a daughter suddenly and
having lost a brother to war...
I am aware of the deep and devastating pain that you are experiencing.
The overwhelming heartache, that seems to surface through our shock, as the time passes.
Please hang on to your Faith and know that you will get through this.

May the memories of your Brave Young Soldier, remain in your heart always and give you strength through the difficult days ahead, and may Tyler Rest Safely now, in the Loving Care of God and know that he Will Never Be Forgotten.
