Hard to believe tomorrow marks 15yrs.
Still think of you guys all the time. The short time I got to know you and Jen made a lifelong impact on me, I’ll always be grateful I knew you. I still have a few photos of you but this one is my favorite. You were so proud of Nikolai. I’m sorry bud, I wish you could have stayed with your family. I know that’s all you wanted, your family. I hope they are all doing well. ❤❤

Rubio, I am so, so sorry. Your face and our conversation comes to my mind often. And I wish We never had our last conversation away. I wish you had stayed in the S1 shop. I wish you could have seen your little boy grow up. It breaks my heart this is happened to you. I pray for you. I pray for your family. Rubio, Even after all these years, I am still at a loss for words. Not a day goes by that you and your family don't cross my mind. I miss you brother. I arrived first with the Quick reaction force. I pulled security when we arrived, fighting the bad guys back. I wish I could have done more for you brother. I live that night over every day in my head. You will always be loved and missed

Thinking of you this Memorial Day weekend. I'll never forget when we met. You were a lowly PFC working in S-4. You were the only guy that was nice to me out of all the S-Shops. I remember when we went to California for NTC and you got lucky and didn't have to roll out with the rest of us because your son was due shortly. I was so happy for you when you were able to go back to your actual company. You were never really that great at the supply side anyway haha. Miss you buddy. I hope your family is doing well. I regret being on leave when you were killed. Not a day goes by that I think me being on the radio that night could have changed something for you. You are in my heart every Easter.

Hey brother, I just wanted to drop you and your family a note. There hasn't been a day that has gone by, that I haven't thought about the sight of your Bradley that night. And right next to that thought, I can't help but see your big smile. I remember being roommates, work out partners, and friends. I know you're watching out for us all now, and I just want you to know that you're never forgotten. I pray for your family, and truly appreciate you.

Every time it gets near Easter, I always think about you. Remembering that evening when fire and smoke filled the streets of baghdad. my Bradley crew and I personally took you back home...RIP, Always praying for your family as well

I can't believe it's been 3 years Joe. Miss you and Jen and little nikolai. You and your family are always in my heart, i think about you guys all the time. I'm glad i had the chance to know you, I consider myself very lucky. If there is one thing i've learned in life, it's that the unexpected always happens and is inevitable, it's just how you learn from it and take it with you when you move on. Hey soldier, this is your buddy, Cheenou Thao all the way from basic. I have not forgotten about you and that Easter Sunday when you left us. My platoon and I carried you and your crew from your burnt bradely into ours. Driving back to the FOB was the longest moment of silence I've ever had. You, your families, and your crew will forever be in my hearts and prayers.

Just wanted you to know I visited your tree and left you a little momento there before I left Fort Stewart and the Army. Its still hard to believe that you're gone even after all this time and won't be able to see yours and Jen's son to grow up and become a great man just like you are. I was just talking to my daughters about the day we lost you and how I will never forget the day your remains and those of our other heroes we lost paying the ultimate sacrifice passed in front of me and tears came to my eyes. Joe, I miss you man. You always seemed to be like a kid brother to me and its hard to imagine partying at my house when i get back to stewart without you, Jen, and Nikolai there. I've been puttin off coming to this site becuase i refuse to believe that your gone. I'll never forget you, and always miss you.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Hernandez family and friends in the loss of Jose. I did not know Jose, but my heart is broken and I am saddened for your loss of such a fine young person and hero. May God bring you peace in your heart as you reflect on all the wonderful memories you hold so close. Please know that you are in my heart and prayers. My heart was touched by the many wonderful/beautiful things written about you. Jose you are my hero and you will NEVER be forgotten.

I did not know Jose, but was told we could have been family some where down the line. To his family, I am very sorry for the loose of your loved one and I can not imagine what you’re going through. From what I read about him he was a very brave man who loved his family and cared for them allot. Though he's gone I’m sure he will never be forgotten.

I too am in the military, joining as a 2Lt for the USMC. Know I will honor his name for it means something more then just a fallen solider. I pray to God that he helps your family through this difficult time, and know its reasons such as these that made me join. Your son is a hero and gave up his life for our rights and freedom. Now it’s my turn to honor him and continue to ensure that it prolongs.

Thank you for your sacrifice. My family is praying for yours.
