Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Jose Regalado US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,000 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and want you know that everyone here at Project Compassion does and will always CARE.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Kenna

Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith:
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

I just wanted to say to the family of Sgt. Jose Regalado that I am truly sorry for their loss and you have my condolences. My unit is currently attached to 3/3 ACR and we met when we were both on a 4 day pass earlier this year in August. He was a cool brother and a good soldier. He will definitely be missed but not forgotten.

I am so sorry for your loss. I write this with heavy heart. My son was killed almost one year ago, Capt Rowdy Inman was in command of Iron Hawk troop, 3rd ACR. The first question is Why and then will this get any better. The Why is answered only thru belief in our Heavenly Father and as they say all things heal with time. This does not get any better with time you just get where you can live with the pain. As a friend said "the hole in her heart had just become her friend". I pray for your peace and love for one another. I know that your son, brother and husband is a true HERO.

Our hearts break for the family & friends of SGT Jose Regalado - we cannot imagine the depth of your loss, or the pain you are feeling. I do know, though, that his wife, Sharri, has made him PROUD. The strength & courage, she has shown makes me proud to be a soldier's wife, and I can only hope that I, too, would represent my husband with the same extraordinary level of grace that she has shown. Their beautiful daughter will undoubtedly grow up with a mother who is an incredible role model, and she will no doubt be filled with loving, happy memories of her father - a hero.
God's richest blessings to Jose's family, and our most humble thanks to Jose for his selfless service to our country. We sleep well at night thanks to heroes like him, and we will not forget his sacrifice.
Sincerely,
The Petersen Family

Please accept my Deepest and Most Heartfelt Sympathy regarding the loss of Sgt. Jose Regalado.
The price this Brave Young Soldier and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, Will Never Be Forgotten.
There is so much thanks to be given, to these young heroes, for their Courage, Dedication and Service.
May Jose rest safely now, in God's Care and may God's Healing Grace be with the Regalado family.
I am the sister of such a young hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago.
"Wait on the Lord, be of good courage
and He shall strengthen your heart"
~ Psalm 27:14 ~
May the Peace of God and your precious memories of Jose,
remain in your heart always.
May this give you comfort and strength through the difficult days ahead.
You are in my thoughts and my prayers.
For the Commander, Carroll R. Michaud

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Sgt. Jose Regalado our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Jose. And to Jose it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made in combat while serving the U.S. Army and his country. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Jose, you are a brave Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,409 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Jose’s family and loved ones.
