Hello,
We wanted to let your family and friends know that we are sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and some of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Daniel A. Tsue US Marine Sergeant.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Five years have passed since we lost a good Marine and a fine man. To friends, family and fellow Marines, Daniel is not forgotten. His selfless actions saved many lives, and he was loved and respected by those of us that served with him. I only wish he could have come home with us. I'll never forget the day it happened and I'll continue to tell people about the hero that gave his life so that others might live. God bless you and your family Sgt Tsue!

I have purchased a Fallen Heroes Geocoin that honors the memory of Sgt. Tsue. It will travel across America, and maybe the world, to remind people of this great man and his sacrifice. I served 30 years in the Army combat arms, and yet remain in awe of those, like Sgt. Tsue, who have given the last full measure. You can follow this coin's travels by going to www.geocaching.com and under Trackable Items do a search for Sgt. Tsue.

Wow! It has been 14 long years since I last saw Daniel. I remember he was a transfer student from Moanalua that was attending Kahuku. We had 2 classes together History and Marine Biology. Daniel was a brilliant at school!

I was real surprised to see how Daniel was able to fit right in as he had a quiet respect for everyone he came in contact with. What was more impressive about Daniel was that he had the spirit of friendship in that he could make anyone feel welcomed. Daniel was truly a great man from the start. So it wasn't like he up and joined the service then suddenly became this great Marine. Daniel has been this way even as a young man growing into adulthood.

I am currently serving in Southern Iraq and was real surprised at how I stumbled on Daniel's name on the internet and to see that he gave his life so that others would have a better life. I was saddened and happy at the same time because I knew this man with such high caliber.

I now am currently stationed in Dover, Delaware on the East Coast, but am excited to one day stand foot on the hallowed grounds of the Punchbowl National Cemetery in Hawaii to see an old friend again. Daniel, I will never forget the kindness you showed to me those many years ago while we attended Kahuku together. You will never be forgotten Daniel I promise.

Love Lives On

Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
far as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in the heart.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Daniel, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

In remembrance of Sgt. Daniel A. Tsue, on this first anniversary of the day he gave his life for our Country and for Freedom.
May Daniel, rest safely in the Loving Care of God and know that he is a True American hero, that shall NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
I Pray that God's Loving Grace and Comfort will continue to be with the Tsue family.
There will never be enough ways, to humbly thank these Heroes, for their Supreme Sacrifice,
My brother among them. KIA-Vietnam 1967.

May you find peace in knowing the love and memories you have of Daniel, will remain in your heart forever.
I am deeply sorry for your loss.

October 22, 2006

To the Family of Sgt. Daniel A. Tsue:
Your son's name, along with our sons, is forever together on a Memorial standing at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA. Their dogtags hang together forever moving with the wind creating a subtle sound, like the quiet whispers of the Fallen as they continue to speak to us. Attending this Memorial Dedication and hearing your child's name being read along with ours, has prompted me to sign this soldier's guestbook.
If your child can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 as well and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for right now. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten . You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

To Daniel's family and friends-

My family and I are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. We send our deepest empathy as we lost our Marine on 11/30/05 in Fallujah. We are comforted to know that our Marines are serving their country with such honor and bravery. We are so proud of our Marines and all of our other service men and women for all that they have done and continue to do to keep us safe and to give us the freedom we have that so many take for granted.

They are true Heroes and need to always be remembered for their selflessness and sacrifice to better our world. We will forever be united in the loss of our heros. We are so sorry for your loss and hope our words will ease some of the pain, and maybe fill some of your emptiness.

SSgt Daniel Tsue was an outstanding Marine and a great person to be around. His "can do" attitude was infectious to seniors and subordinates alike. I served with him for a short time during our MOS training as air traffic control radar technicians in Pensacola, FL from 1999 to 2000. All of my memories are of him in uniform. He loved the Marines. I remember he would always volunteer for duty while the rest of us were on liberty. He excelled in everything he did and is very well respected by everyone he seved with. SSgt Tsue was and always will be the epitome of a Marine. My sincere condolences to his family and all the Marines who served with him for his loss.

I had the honor to serve with Daniel Tsue from 1999-2002. We were classmates at Pensacola, FL and were both sent to Yuma, AZ for our first duty stations. During that time, Tsue and I were able become close friends. We kept in touch via the occasional emails from time to time after he went in the MSG program. He was always looking for personal challenges and never accepted anything less than perfection. His attitude and personality was infectious because you "never wanted to let Tsue down." Nobody could ask for a better friend.

My heart and prayers go out to his family, friends and Marines whom with he served.

I am a good friend and hi school classmate of Daniel's father, Richard Tsue. About two year ago, Richard told me that his son was in the Marines. I never forgot that. When news that Daniel A.Tsue was killed in Iraq, I had prayed that somehow it wasn't my friend's son. Sadly and shockingly, we eventually found out that it was him. This Veteran's Day holiday weekend will always be remembered... as it was this weekend that Sgt. Daniel A. Tsue was remembered, honored, and buried. I have collected several news articles about Daniel... if you, friends of Daniel, would like to read these fine articles, please email me. I will send to you. Also, we would like to hear the stories of Daniel from his friends. When received, I will share with everyone. It is during Daniel's time away from Hawaii that we in Hawaii know very little of what he did, what he thought, what he felt. Now, only through his friends can we know... if you have a story to share, please do. Time has a way... time passes... we move on. But I believe through warm memories shared we will be able to always keep Daniel "alive" in our hearts and minds. Those of you who have written in this guest book, Mahalo for sharing your thoughts and feelings. God speed.

I will always remember his smile and the kindness he showed everyone, no matter who they were or their age. He was such a wonderful individual, intelligent, kind and who had a quiet gentleness about him. He was also a great basketball player, who taught me how to act more lady-like on the court. Please remember that time moves on but memories last forever. He will always be remembered in my heart, knowing that he gave the greatest gift one can give for all of us, his life. May he rest in peace.

We had some great times in Tokyo. I'll always remember your outstanding dry humor and sharp wit. You were the best kind of friend. You will be missed.
