Though time moves on, we carry you with us.

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this holiday season and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Joshua A. Scott US Marine Lance Corporal.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

I used to live across the street from josh in north carlonia. i would consider him one of my best friends i used to go fishing with him all the time. there is not a day that goes by that i dont think about him and his family. If anyone has any info on his wife and child and how i can get ahold of them please let me know. Josh i miss you marine. Semper Fi.

God Bless you. I just came across your story and was truely moved. My prayers are with your family. I cannot even imagine what it's like to lose someone so young. Thank you for serving our country proudly.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

We became best friends if not brothers and i loved him like one. i will never forget that day of the accident i cried more then i ever have before. Lcpl Scott is very deeply missed and will not ever be forgotten aboout. I lost a brother and a great friend.

Josh was a really great guy, he was there when i first got into the fleet and taught me so much, i looked up to him and miss him.

Mendy, there are absolutely no words that would possibly begin to comfort you or your family in your time of loss.But always know we will always be there for you and carmen,and the whole family if you need us. we love you and are terribly sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry that this has happened to you. I can only imagine what you guys are going through. I loved Josh very much and so did my husband. I wish that he could be here to see his new niece Maddison. She would have loved him as much as we all did. I know that words cannot make the pain that you are feeling go away, but know that if any of you need anything I am just a phone call away. I love you all very much!

I will never be able to tell you how as your older brother I am proud of you, or how my foolish pride has kept us from speaking. I have so much guilt for being the Marine Recruiter whom put you in the Corps. You were always my favorite and I cared about you so much I never thought this would or could happen. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your husband and son. I know no words can truly bring comfort at this time, but I want you to know that he was a great hero. Our future will be much brighter because of brave men and women such as Joshua. I too, am a wife and mother and can only imagine the loss you must feel. I am truly grateful for sacrifice that your husband was willing to give so that me and my family can be free, and live our daily lives without the worry of a terrorist threat.

My family and I are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. We send our deepest empathy as we lost our Marine on 11/30/05 in Fallujah. We are comforted to know that our Marines are serving their country with such honor and bravery.
