Happy heavenly birthday my friend

Gisany M Teixeira

March 9, 2025

It´s hard to believe so many years have passed since you left this world, but not a day goes by that you aren´t remembered. Every year, as your birthday approaches, I find myself thinking of the laughter, the memories, and the friendship we shared. You were more than a childhood friend-you were family.

Though time moves forward, the impact you had on my life remains. I carry your memory with me always, and I know I always will. I hope you´re at peace, watching over us with that same warm spirit you shared here on earth.

Forever missed, never forgotten.

Daddy, I miss you so much. Life is much different than I had ever imagined it to be at this point. Please continue to work with God to direct my steps and determine how to best operate according to God's will. I only want to make God, you, and Mommy proud. I love you so much. Rest peacefully.

It was on a day like this that I received one of the saddest news of my life. I lost a dear friend to me. 10 years, went by so fast, and it seems like we were just talking yesterday. You are missed dearly by me and all your family. My only hope is that you are resting in peace. I will forever have you in my heart ❤❤❤

I was listening to this song, just now, and it brought me to tears. It's been almost 10 years, but it's still as if it was yesterday. I still feel your presence very much, because when you smiled you lid up a room and made many people happy. I miss you very much.

You were one of my first NCO's.. You were always dancing and smiling! You were my motivation! I've been wearing ur KIA bracelet for all these years. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think and talk to you. I've been blessed to have met you and served along the side of you. I'll never forget the day our unit told us that you made the ultimate sacrifice, it was as if someone punched us in the stomach and had no choice but to fall to my knees, I couldn't deal with the fact it was you... All the questions rushed to head why would you (God) take him from his amazing wife and kids, parents, family, and us?!! What did he ever do to deserve this? U are the best man, husband, father, son and Soldier. I've been angry for years over the loss of you. I don't know that I'll ever come to terms with it. What I do know is you are a HERO, n I live everyday with you in my heart n will never stop talking to you! I talk to you everyday to give me strength to deal with any hardship I've encountered. You are more than missed everyday by our unit 7th SFG(A)! I promise to never let your legacy die. This is the first time after years I'm able to write cause the wound of you passing is just too hard to deal with and I'm sorry it took this long.. But I also know you hear me every time I talk to you... I miss n love you

Hello my handsome gorgeous Brother Alberto a.k.a "Betinho", today like many others you are on my thoughts heavily. Normally I don't verbalize my thoughts publicly but i was missing you like always and decided to Google you....lol. I came across this page and read all the beautiful messages and was truly touched. Each day that goes by I realize more and more how much you were and still is loved. Last week Mom and I went to visit your beautiful kids and it was extremely emotional all over again (especially with Mom there). It really hit us all over again that you're not going to be there. Guess what??? I made one of your favorite dishes for the family, rice beans and tuna...I remember last when we visited I made it for you and you ate it for breakfast lunch and dinner but don't worry the kids and Christl really enjoyed it for you. We had a lovely time and captured all the sweet moments. Love you always and for a lifetime!!!!!!

I took the kids to the beach last weekend and thought of you. Naz teases Kevyn because he can't swim good and she can but I tell him it's okay daddy didn't know how to either. It's cute to hear him say see I'm just like my daddy! We love you Betinho!

Okay so I don't go on here as often as I should I know but today for some reason I did. I miss you so much and I wish you could see our beautiful babies growning up. In just 13 days our baby boy will start kindergarden and your not here to see it. Your not here to go see the fireworks on post. Your not here to go with us to our favorite place the beach. I am trying so hard to get my life together without you but I feel so incomplete. I feel so lost and I just want you back. I love you my sweet Betinho and I miss you dearly. Huggs&Kisses

We are an organization of over 240 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Everyday I look at the kids and I feel sorrow for they will not have there father around. I hate that my daughter never got to meet you, but I am greatful that my son did. I miss the best brother-in-law that I could have ever had. Sometimes I still feel you around me. I miss you to no ends. You are a hero to me...not for just being a soldier but for treating my sister as good as you did and I know you still watchover her and the kids. I wish that I could just walk to heaven and bring you down to be with us again but I know you are in a better place then us. We love you and miss you. I don't pretend to know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Though I did not meet you, I grew-up with your dad, uncle Joaquin, and Aunt Mandinha, and Alidio; and I am sure we have lost one of the best in you. I can not think of my days in Cabo Verde with out your family in the picture some how. May you rest in piece for, you are for sure in a better place. Bebeto and Leontina, there is no words that can heal the ache one feels for the loss of a child, but may that empty space in your hearts be filled with joyful memories of him and all that you hold dear.
God bless, and may the New Year bring new understanding between peoples of the world; and may peace abound.

Psalm 23

1

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

I did not know Sgt. Montrond for very long. When the 528th disbanded and merged with the 7th SFG he was one of the first people I met. He and I shared the same MOS and I know there was much I could have learned from him. He was the definition of what an NCO should be. He was always the first to greet me every morning when we had PT formation and his energy level never waivered. As part of the GSSC family I am deeply saddened to have lost such a wonderful fellow soldier, NCO, and brother. My heart goes out to the family of my dear friend "Montrond". It seems just like yesterday that I was breaking the news to him that I was getting stationed in Korea. Seems just like yesterday were both privates arriving at Fort Hood, nervous because we were going to the 82nd Airborne Division, and now it is 8 years later! I will deeply miss you. You were my first friend that I made when we arrived at Fort Bragg. I pray that your family is strong. I pray that your memory lives on in your kids. I'll never forget you "man"!

February 20, 2006

To the Family of Sgt. Alberto Montrond:

My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young man who gave his life so selflessly.

I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. We lost our son 12/1/05. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away. God Bless this courageous soldier and his family.

My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young man who gave his life so selflessly.

I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need.
