One of Marion's first nights in Iraq I heard someone running into the tents trying to lead his way back to his platoon. I had nightvision so I could clearly see Marion bouncing off the tents. I lead him back to the platoon area and we talked abit. We had a good laugh, Marion said, "wow it gets dark here". He was a good person and meant well. I could tell right away he was eager to learn from his platoon. I wish I could have served with him longer.

Oh, Chris! I still think of him so very often. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of all the good memories we had and the memories that I missed with him. I can still remember his funeral like it was yesterday. I KNOW that he is watching over me! I just KNOW that! He is missed by so many people and still deeply loved and appreciated! God Bless You!!!!

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Psalm 23
1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock! And that we now know our "Guardian Angel" personally!
My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

I knew chris from the 9th grade in high school to the day of graduation. he was a good man and never did no wrong. he would come up with somthing nice to say if you were feeling down or even if you were the happiest person in the school i never got to see chris after he had joined the army but there is no doubt in my mind that he had tried to be the best soldier a man could be. To the family of chris i feel your loss and i am very sorry for you

Our prayers go out to the Marion family. We feel unfortunate that we did not get to know Christopher due to only recently being introduced to the family a couple of years ago. We are proud to say that our family member was brave enought to serve our country and even give his life for our freedom. His presence will surely be missed and our prayers request God to embrace his loved ones and carry them through. God Bless.

I was Chris's Platoon Sergeant. Chris was a great soldier, he worked so hard and was integrated easily to our family here in Iraq. I was talking to him the night prior, we were talking of family and the Army. I remember it so vividly, I will miss that young man and regard him as a hero and will never forget him. I will continue to pray for his family, and if they need anything 3rd Platoon will do what is necessary. I know it must be hard, it's tough enough here. The boys miss him. God Bless you all.

I was very fortunate to know Chris. He was my brother's best friend who is also in the army. Chris was a great kid always eager to help someone out. Very polite guy. Had a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly and I want his family to know that they are in my prayers ad well as everyone out there who has a son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, or sister in the military God Bless everyone

I am the company commander for Charlie company. Christopher was a Soldier in my company. I remember when PFC Marion showed up to Iraq, he had this look on his face that I always remember whenever someone mentions his name. His solid greyish eyes with a hint of blue are what I remember most. The company is still trying to recover from missing our friends- our brothers. We pray for the family, and our hearts are with you. God Bless!

I was Chris's Platoon Leader. He had been with us for over 3 weeks. He was training hard and going on daily combat missions. He was a good young soldier. He had a big heart. The platoon is coming along as we have now lost 8 soldiers. I pray that the family stays strong and remember your son as a hero. What an excellent American he was.

May God bring you peace in your heart as you reflect on all the wonderful memories you hold so close. Please know that you are in my heart and prayers. You are a hero and you will never be forgotten.

To the Family of Pfc. Christopher L. Marion:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young man who gave his life so selflessly. We lost our son 12/1/05.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. They will never be forgotten, never able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your memories will sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away. God Bless this courageous soldier and his family.
