Arthur L. Felder Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2005.
Arthur L. Felder''s mother said he never let on he was in danger in Iraq. "He would say that he was safe behind his desk," Cheryl Stuart said. "You would have thought he was calling from Little Rock." Capt. "Bo" Felder, 36, of Lewisville, Ark., was killed early April 24 when mortar rounds hit Camp Cooke where he was stationed north of Baghdad. He was based in Hazen, Ark. He had served in the National Guard since 1986. Survivors include his ex-wife, Brenda, and their two children.

Big Cap, we were brothers in arms we grew close together within the ranks of Cold Steel Charlie 3/153rd Infantry Brigade. One thing i knew about you was you loved the keep your boots highly shined and you loved Skittles and Gummi bears, everytime someone made a px run they had to make sure they got your sweets for you, it was long hours we worked in the Sims center. You were an intimidating presence to some people standing 6'5"
and built like a super hero
but you were a gentle giant.I can still hear you yelling "CHARLIE ROCKS"
when it was time to get down to business. Miss your presence Captain and l will never forget you, I'll visit you like I always do and have a talk with you. SFC Copeland

To the family of Capt. Arthur L. Felder:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.

First Impressions are great impressions. A great mighty man of valor. Bo left a legacy that will forever linger in our hearts. Can't be forgotten and won't be forgotten. Such a gentle giant and had enough strength to fight for an entire country. Reminds us of how Our Heavenly Father sent his only begotten son to die on the cross for all of our sins. A man went to fight for our freedom, an awesome sacrifice for all people. Peace and Comfort to each one of you.

Bo will never be forgotten. He left such an impacted on so many lives that words could never express what a blessing it was to have him in our lives. How we miss and love him. May God continue to bless his family in a special way.

It is difficult to know what to say since I want to express my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Capt Felder. Please know that your loved one is not forgotten. I wish everyone impacted by this tragic loss strength and peace. I hope that Capt Felder knew that there are people in America who respect his great courage in serving as a member of the US military. Although I did not know him, I know that he must have been a very special person to be willing to do something that most Americans will never have to experience, and for that we can never say thank you enough.
Thank you Capt Felder!

In Memory of Arthur ~ 'Bo' ( Debra Estep )

April 24, 2008

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers today.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know 'Bo', but I am remembering on
this day he gave his all.
He is my hero.

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

I didn't personally know you or your family, but saw this terrible news online and felt compelled to say something! - Thank you for your service to our country and keeping me and my family safe, secure and free - You paid the ultimate price for my freedom with your life and I am forever grateful - A simple thank you seems so little at a time like this - I pray for the family and friends you left behind and hope that they can somehow find peace at this very difficult time - God Bless you and all who knew you

I served with CPT. Bo Felder in Iraq. He was a wonderful friend and soldier. Often I find my self thinking back to the moments at Ft. Hood, Tx and Camp Taji, Iraq. He was as large of a man as Shaq Oneil with a heart even bigger. I will continue to miss you, My brother, friend and fellow-soldier.

Love Ya,

Psalm 23

1

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

If you need anything, please feel free to contact me!!!
