Brother it’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since we lost you. This time of year I am always reminded of that last deployment together. You deserved a long and happy life. You were the best squared away Marine in our MP class and the first in our group to pick up NCO. I am proud to have served with you and you were an outstanding Marine, Squad leader, and friend. Hopefully we will meet again someday guarding the streets of heaven with the rest of our Brothers and Sisters. Semper Fi and rest easy Brother.

I remember being with Bogrette in the same platoon during bootcamp in 2004. Great guy, had a lot of ambition and heart. Never forgot about him when i left, was just one of those marines who stuck out. Ill never forget the one time we stood up doing fire watch as we sat on our bunks talking about how we both couldn't wait to hit the fleet. We both were hungry for iraq at the time. We both wanted to make a difference. Rest in Peace brother. Your never forgotten.

I served with Bogrette on our first tour in Iraq with convoy security. He was a good man, friend and Marine. We had many deep conversations late at night, out in the middle of nowhere (life, family, friends and ambitions). I will always cherish our time together and will never forget my friend. I wear a dogtag with his name on it every day to remind me of his sacrifice. He was my brother and I will never forget him. R.I.P. Henry Semper Fi.

To the dear family of CPL. Bogrette you do not know me , however our family knows your son. I am the proud mom of CPL Joshua Martini, he was room mate with Henry before their last deployment. Josh tells stories of Henry, he wears his name in a memorial tattoo. I would like to introduce you to a wonderful man we have had the pleasure to meet, and tell him about Henry. Please take the time to go to www.americanfallensoldiers.com Phil Taylor is a very talented man and this project is wonderful. I do not know if he will ever get around to all the work but he honors each one he does. We think of Henry almost daily in our home, please know you and your family are not forgotten and neither is your sacrafice. We love our service members and I have a special place for our Marines. Those that served with my son are all family to me, and when he lost a brother I lost a son. Our love and prayers continue to be with you.

Though I did not know you personally, you were a Marine, and a brother of the same division. I purchased a POW/KIA bracelet today, and it was you that I chose out of the 30-40 that were there. There were very few Marines bracelets because they sell quickly.
But, I am here to tell you, that you will never be forgotten brother.

Susan, you have many Marine brothers. Not only the ones your son knew, but everyone serving, retired, and former Marines. We are one big family and take care of our own.
As a Vietnam Veteran I can tell you honestly that the pain may never go away, the void never filled, and the tears may not stop ... but that's OKAY. Why, because he was a special human being we will never forget, and because you love him so much, and because you should feel proud to talk about his sacrifice, and although it may open old wounds, it will also help heal them.
Marines are a special breed that understand that it can't always be someone else protecting our freedom, and are willing to make that sacrifice to preserve it for others. That is part of Corporal Bogrette's legacy, which makes him a true American hero.
May you find peace in your heart and strength in your special son's sacrifice.
Semper Fi!

I miss you so much. I just found you again and now you are gone. While the calendar says a year has passed it feels as though it was yesterday. The pain has not subsided, the void is not filled, the tears do not stop. I have always loved you, I will always love you, you were my first born baby boy. I have adopted your Marine brothers from that fatal day. I can understand why you thought of them as brothers. I am honored to have them now as adopted sons. I can often feel you here and I know that you now understand the whys. I love you baby boy...sleep tight my sweet prince.

I don't pretend to know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

To the Respected Family of Cpl Henry W. Bogrette: I want to convey my family's most heartfealt sympathy and grief at your lose. Henry is an outstanding person and Marine who lived up to our core values of honor, courage and commitment in everything he did. I know how proud you are of him.
I was assigned and deployed with Henry as his Company First Sergeant from July 05 to Apr 06 with CLB-2 Security Company at Al-Asad, Iraq. It saddens me inmensely to know we have lost such an exceptional young man, Marine and Warrior. I remember, clear as if it was today, how Henry and I worked on getting his correspondence courses completed so he would be promoted. He was respectful and generous to all. And his unselfishness was evident in all he did. He is the fourth brother and son I have lost to this conflict. I call him this because that is what he is to me, a brother and son. Such is the bond created among us.
I pray our Lord iluminates your path with sweet memories and comforts you throughout this journey. God bless and Semper Fidelis, Jose Padilla, First Sergeant, USMC

“Paid in Full”
To Honor The Service of Fallen and Injured Marines
Marines through and through, they paid the price
Six thousand miles away, we live the life
For which they paid with their blood, spirits and bodies
We will never forget what they paid in full
We hope and we pray that somehow their loved ones find comfort
In God, in the flag, in the memory of their loved ones’ bravery
They’re gone now but we see them still…proud, strong, willing
Covering each other’s backs… courageous, moving forward
What kind of love did they have for us to be willing
To give all for the Black, White, Jew, Christian, Muslim?
We don’t comprehend but we honor you now and forever
You are Our Marines…some living…some not
Forever in our hearts we will cherish your lives
Lives too short yet immortal they’ll be
Highest brotherhood of the Few, the Proud
They stand at attention, and we gaze with awe
Some know their names not, but our admiration for them
Flows limitless within us, between us
They sacrificed their limbs or their lives
Freedom still rings, a soft sound across the miles
It tolls slowly; all of creation takes note
Of lives that were lost for people unknown
Out of sight but not lost; forever among us
The starched blues marching straight
Toward the place where we will meet them
Many years from now…how we loved them…
Well done beloved Brothers and Sisters…You’ve paid it in full
Always Faithful Marines, You Have Paid it in Full

I am so sorry to hear about another fallen! I know there are no words that I can say to ease your pain! The loss of a child is something that is the most difficult thing to bare. We can only pray that one day we will be together again. I was told that if you stretch a piece of string a mile long and line that string with beads, the beads would resemble eternity. Life here on earth is equal to “only one bead”. We have only a short time here compared to the time we will spend in eternity with our loved ones. The only thing I can say is let faith keep you grounded in your life and hold on to your loved ones! This will help you through! This is what helps me get through my days, I too have lost. My son entered into the Heavens to be with our Lord!
God Bless Your Family!

TO THE BOGRETTE FAMILY:
I DEEPLY REGRET THE LOSS OF YOUR SON, AND THE PAIN IT IS CAUSING YOUR FAMILY. ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T KNOW HIM PERSONALLY, CORPORAL BOGRETTE IS MY BROTHER, BECAUSE HE IS A MARINE. THE BOND BETWEEN MARINES WILL NEVER BE BROKEN.
CORPORAL BOGRETTE PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE TO DEFEND FREEDOM FOR EACH OF US, AND TO SECURE IT FOR THE IRAQI PEOPLE. MAY WE NOT REST ONE DAY THAT WE DO NOT THINK ABOUT WHAT THAT MEANS, AND THANK HIM AND HIS BROTHERS IN ARMS FOR THE FREEDOM AND PEACE THEY HAVE GIVEN US FOR A LIFETIME. WITH A LOUD VOICE, WE MUST ALWAYS HONOR AND RESPECT THE SACRIFICES MADE BY CORPORAL BOGRETTE AND HIS BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN ARMS, AND NOT LET THEIR SACRIFICES BE IN VAIN. IT IS THEIR SACRIFICES THAT ENSURE OUR LIBERTY AND FREEDOM FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. THEY BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY ARE DOING; LET'S AT LEAST BELIEVE IN THEM AND HONOR THEM.
CORPORAL BOGRETTE - MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND FROM OUR BELOVED MARINE CORPS HYMN, REMEMBER THAT IF OUR FRIENDS EVER LOOK ON HEAVEN'S SCENES... "THEY WILL FIND THE STREETS ARE GUARDED BY UNITED STATES MARINES." YOU NOW HAVE ANOTHER POST TO FILL, AND WE'LL ALL SEE YOU THERE.
TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED, FREEDOM HAS A SPECIAL FLAVOR THE PROTECTED WILL NEVER KNOW!
SEMPER FI BROTHER!

My deepest sympathies to Henry's family. I was his squad leader during our last deployment to Iraq. Even though I was leaving Camp Lejeune soon and was no longer in his platoon, we still talked and even met up at the mess hall for breakfast a few times. I was devastated when I heard what happened. He did a tremendous job and I am so proud of him both for that and the outstanding Marine he had become. I am going to miss him greatly.

Hey Hank,
Don't really know what to say man. Thanks for all the memories from the last two years. I will always think of you down in the parking lot at the barracks on the weekends working on your car, either shining the rims, or engine work. I always knew when you would come and go, and was jealous 'cause your exhaust was louder than my truck!!! :) Will miss you Bo, and will look after your brother Cook for you. I know that by now, you have met up with Raines, McVicker, and Clark and they are showing you the ropes up there. I am sure you have another vehicle and you are working on it as I am typing this to you. Will never forget you Hank....
Loved ya like you were my brother,
Beth

Cpl. Bogrette, you were a dear friend to my husband, Cpl. C.A. Maneth, and served with him during your first tour of Iraq. I never got to meet you, but my husband spoke of you every time he called. I never got to thank you for keeping his spirits up and being such a good friend to him. I don't think he has a single story from Iraq that doesn't involve you, and I know he had a great respect for you. You were such a good friend to him, and I thank God every day that you were there for him when I couldn't be. I pray that God blesses you richly for your sacrifice here on earth, and may your family be comforted by His mercy. Thank you again so much for being such a wonderful friend to my husband; I will never forget it, and neither will he. He was shocked when he heard the news; please watch over him now just as you did all those months you spent together before. Thank you again and SEMPER FI!!!!!!!
With Admiration and Gratitude,
Mrs. C.A. Maneth, Cpl., USMC

Dear Bogrette Family,
I would like to take the time to extend my heartfelt condolences to you on the loss of Cpl. Bogrette. I know the pain because I lost my only son, L/Cpl. Carl L. Raines II, to a roadside bomb in the city of Qaim, on 10-06-05.
I wish there were some words of comfort to help you during this time. Unfortunately, I am still looking for them myself. My son died fighting for something he believed in, as I believe Cpl. Bogrette was also.
The pain of death will never destroy his spirit or remove him from your hearts. Remember the good things. They are your source of strength in this difficult time.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

My Deepest and most heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Cpl. Henry W. Bogrette.
The price this Brave Young Marine and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, Will Never Be Forgotten.
There is so much thanks to be given, to these young heroes, for their Courage, Dedication and Service.
May Henry rest safely in God's Care and may God's Loving Peace and Comfort be with the Bogrette family.
I am the sister of such a young hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago.

It is with the deepest sadness that I ask the family and friends of this brave young Soldier to accept the offer of my most sincere and heart felt condolences. I hope that you know that your loss is shared and mourned by millions of Americans. Most of whom you don’t know and in all probability will never meet. We sincerely appreciate the sacrifices made by your patriot.
Freedom is not free; it is paid for by our heroes, and for those who fight for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know! This soldier made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
I know the pain parents feel when they loose a child. I lost a son 19 years ago. It is a pain that defies description. It is a pain that never goes away. It is a pain that will never end. It is a pain that is all consuming.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
May God Bless and keep you today, tomorrow and forever!
Rest in Peace brave soldier; you did your duty with great honor, dedication, distinction and in the highest traditions of our great country.

My condolences to the family of Pfc Chase Edwards, USMC. I recently lost my niece Cpl Jennifer Parcell in Anbar Province, Iraq. I am pround to be associated with the Corps and their commitment. All of our men and women who die are truly HEROS! If Chase was anything like my niece, he was proud to be a Marine and proud of what he was doing. I thank God for them. I pray that you find grace through the Lord and may your burden lessen as days go by. I know that is what I am praying for.
