Hey jax, I hope you saw all the decorations on your grave for memorial day. No one has forgotten, & I think it'll always be there. I found that Marine shirt you gave me, & I couldnt help think about all the fun times in the Office when you were hiding from aiding in ROTC. =) I seen a picture of you & the other three soldiers from the day & it said, Heros don't come home. I get chills thinking about it. I still miss you man, & I still cant believe your gone. =( I'm glad we met in HS. You always made me smile when I was down & I'll carry a piece of you with me forever.

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Robert, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Hey Lil Rob! It's been a while....well since Christmas since I've dropped you a line so here i am again saying hello and I miss you. So this summer I've been to Nolin twice, made me think back to when I was a kid, man those were good times, life was great with papa. Could you tell him hi for me? and I love and miss him. Wow getting old is hard, you loose people that you love so much and didnt even realize it til they're gone. It was a big smack in the face loosing you, to much left unsaid. I can remember playing with Candace, Lil' Michael, and you like it was yesterday. Lil Randy was still a baby but I remember loving him as well. It's so hard to have those that you love so close but never telling them how you feel. I hope your whole family reads this and know that I LOVE THEM ALL. Because of Papa Robby and the closeness to the family while he was here I WILL ALWAYS LOVE ALL OF YOU. Since you left us Lil Rob, not a day has gone by without me thinking of you. You were truly something else, I just wish I hada had the pleasure of knowing you as an adult as well. I know you grew up to be a fine young man, and a HERO. I am so proud of you Robby, it is such an honor to have been able to know you. Until later Rob, I LOVE AND MISS YOU EVERYDAY.

So here it is Christmas and your spending it with the good lord. Robby I thought long and hard about just what to write and i still have really gathered all the thoughts but i'm still gonna try to do things right. First and foremost I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifice. And second wish your Whole family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. With that said I want to thank you Angel for raising a great son, you did a great job at raising 4 kids. I've been doing alot of thinking lately not sure why but it's been of when I was a kid and Papaw was still here, I can remember playing with Candace, Michal, Lil'Randy and of course you Robby, and though it's been 12 years it seems like yesterday. I miss those days the most around holidays. And though I probably never spent a christmas with you, I really miss you this one. I'm going to close this with all of my love and prayers to your family and friends. And pray that GOD will lead them the right way in life and help them have strenghth and courage when they feel weak. And they will follow his path of rightousness. God Bless.

Another Fallen Hero ~

My heart breaks as I sign another guestbook of such a courageous soldier who gave his life so selflessly. May he rest in peace knowing that he is loved and remembered by those who knew him. God Bless this soldier and his family who gave all and made the ultimate sacrifice. May God grant you peace, strength and comfort in such a difficult time. My deepest condolences and prayers are with the entire family.

We understand what you are experiencing and feeling. No amount of words can ease the pain of your loss. We know first hand there are no words of comfort at this time. We lost our only son 9-3-2004 at the age of 19 and it fells like yesterday. Just know that there are Marines and families across the USA who is experiencing your loss and pain. You are not alone. We will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes.

I still fly my Marine flag and have my Marine tag and sticker on my vehicles because I'm PROUD of my SON and DAUGHTER, and all the SERVICE MEN and WOMEN out there. We will always be a MARINE. We are proud of you all. “Land of the Free, Because of the Brave”

I am so sorry to hear about another fallen! I know there are no words that I can say to ease your pain! The loss of a child is something that is the most difficult thing to bare. We can only pray that one day we will be together again. I was told that if you stretch a piece of string a mile long and line that string with beads, the beads would resemble eternity. Life here on earth is equal to “only one bead”. We have only a short time here compared to the time we will spend in eternity with our loved ones. The only thing I can say is let faith keep you grounded in your life and hold on to your loved ones! This will help you through!
This is what helps me get through my days, I too have lost. My son entered into the Heavens to be with our Lord!
God Bless Your Family!

Our son was in the convoy with your son. We are heart sick for you and your loss. We are praying for you and the other family members who lost their loved ones and for the wounded Marines. Daniel told us about a month ago that there was this guy "Lynch" who was a Christian and they would talk about things together. I am grateful that Robbie could be an encouragement to our son during his time in Iraq. He was a tangible answer to our prayers and we are thankful for him.
God Bless you and the friends and family of Robbie.

Thank all of you so much for your kind words. Robby has been th(e same hard working dedicated person since I can remember. We (the family) appreciate all the support we have gained from all of you and the community around us. So please do us one favor and go out into the lost world and tell everyone of the story you have heard about Robby. He is and always will be loved. Again, thank you.

I met Robbie in our freshman yr gym class back in the 2001...he was sort of shy at first but after we all got to know each other he was a character...always joking around and making people smile. I'll never forget the manners & respect Robbie used anywhere he was... Anytime I would be walking to go out a door at school, if Robbie was there or anywhere around he'd always open the door and say "Here ya go my lady" with the biggest smile on his face. He had such a caring spirit & was such a positive young man. I am honored to say I knew Robbie during my years at Seneca & being apart of his funeral touched my life in so many ways. It was amazing to see all the people that supported him & his decision to fight for what he believed in. Angel you did an amazing job & I promise to keep you both in my thoughts daily!

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

President C/O 2005, and close friend.

I want to personally say that rob's heart has always been in the right place, and there aren't words for those whom I've worked with, studied with, and practically related to on a daily basis that have passed on such tragic notice. I want the surviving family to know that he was, in every aspect, a model for the greatest courage, and a better friend. It hurts to see our class go separate paths, to part and leave as we lead our own individuals lives. But God has a plan for all of us and he has fufilled those purposes. God hasn't taken him away, but blessed us with his presence, and graced us with his time. We should thank him for that and never forget the merit he attained, the courage he exemplified, and the character that he was. To a great friend, I'll see you when my time has come.

Our nation owes its freedom to heroes like L/Cpl Lynch, who volunteered to protect our country in time of war.

My sincerest condolences to his family. Know that the loss you suffer is shared by all your fellow citizens.

The last stanza of the Marines' Hymn goes as follows:

"If the Army and the Navy ever look on heaven's scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines".

L/Cpl Lynch is standing his post in heaven.

Semper Fidelis from a retired Marine and father of 2 Marine sons.

You are in our prayers.

To the family of Robert Lynch,

I had Robert in my Science class; I want to express my sympathy and my respect for what an outstanding young man he was. Rarely do you remember the students who do what you ask, since that is expected. However, Robert had a feel for the Marines and that made him different. I could relate to him, since I am a veteran as well. When Jesus said, " My kingdom is not of this world" he awakened me to the fact that this world is not eturnal. Only heaven is eturnal, and Robert will have a kingdom or memory there as well.
