On May 23rd, 2015 my family and I participated in the I Did the Grid 4 mile run/walk. The run is organized by Team Chris, an organization founded by the family of Cpl. Christopher G. Scherer who was killed in action in July of 2007. As part of the run participants carry the names of four fallen heroes on our bibs to honor the sacrifice that they and their families have made so that we and our families may live free. There are no awards or medals. We ring a bell in honor of the names we carry when we cross the finish line. Jeffrey's name was on my husband's bib. We cannot begin to know your sorrow but we can promise you that he will not be forgotten and that your family will remain in our prayers.

This is CPL. Kempski from Merrill's Platoon HHC 4 th RTB when you were 1st Lt. Calero. Now I'm a SGT and you are a Major. I will never forget the belief you had in me to be the best that I could be. My Iraqi brother-in-law is now able to return to see his family after being a political refugee for many years. This is just one example of how the Operation helped both our nation and the Iraqi nation.

Hi Jeff its your cousin Hiram. Just found out about this web-site and wanted to say hello. There isnt a day in my life that goes by that you are not thought about. Im sure that you know how much of an inspiration you are; and to me Primo,YOU ARE NOT GONE NOR WILL YOU EVER BE FORGOTTEN! My friends are always asking me about your bracelet. I tell them the story and there isnt a sound or a dry eye in the place. They all support the guys and girls on their missions both stateside and overseas. Jeff, your always in my prayers. I only spoke with you a few short times, but heard about how great of a man you were from those closest to you. We served together overseas and I only wish I had the chance to really get to know you.
