I knew Lloyd only by talking with him on the phone and emailing back and forth. I bought his beautiful 1953 Studebaker Starliner about a year ago. He was a true and honest gentleman in our dealings and I came to value our long-distance friendship. One day I was plesantly surprised to receive a box in the mail containing a scale model of the 53 Studebaker exactly like the one I bought from Lloyd. It had a message attached: "Always give more than you promise."--John Studebaker

Taylor Family:
I had the honor to serve beside Lloyd on the Area Plan Commission and then work with him on the development of the new Studebaker National Museum as a then staff member of South Bend Heritage Foundation. Lloyd was a great mentor, but more importantly, he showed all of us by his volunteer activities the importance of community and giving back. He was an example to us all. I am honored for having known him.
My sympathies go out to all of you at this time. May your memories of him carry you through these deifficult days.
