Richard Soule Obituary

March 29, 1932 - April 16, 2008
MISHAWAKA - Richard H. Soule Sr., 77, of Mishawaka, died in his home on Wednesday April 16, 2008. He was born in Mishawaka on March 29, 1931, to Howard R. and Fannie I. (Colvin) Soule. Richard is survived by his companion of 22 years, Dora M. Pease of Mishawaka; two sons, Richard (Carla) Soule Jr. of Mishawaka and Norman (Cindy) Soule of Richland Hills, TX; two daughters, Linda Runyon of Peru and Rita Gibson of South Bend; a step-daughter, Mary E. Ousley of Angola; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Among other survivors are a sister, Harriett (Ralph) Gill of Mishawaka; a brother, Wayne (Kay) Soule of Bremen; a half-sister Alice (David) Overly of Peru; and a half-brother, Thomas Soule of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Gail Lynn Soule; a son, Gregory Lee Soule; a sister, Beverly Stewart; and two half-brothers, Allen and Howard Soule. Richard was employed at Dodge Manufacturing in the foundry and retired in 1993. He belonged to the Dodge Athletic Club and Mishawaka Moose Lodge #1262 and had formerly served in the National Guard. Friends may visit with the family today (Friday) from 2 to 8 p.m. in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
