Stewart Brown Obituary

Stewart Clayton Brown, 86, a resident of Falmouth for the past 27 years, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at JML Care Center, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Ann Carr Brown. He was born in Worcester, June 28, 1923, a son of the late Earl and Davina (Gowans) Brown. He was the father of Cynthia Brown of Falmouth, Pamela Brown of East Bridgewater and the late David Brown and grandfather to Dustin Brown of Falmouth. He was raised in Brockton and attended the Brockton Public Schools, Lawrence Academy and the University of Vermont. He served in the United Sates Air Force 20th Bomber Command. He served in India and China. He was the owner of Brockton Oil Heat for 40 years and worked for Alvin Hollis until retirement. He was past president and served on the board of the Brockton Country Club for 30 years. He was past president of the Brockton Chambers of Commerce, Credit Data of Brockton, Brockton Commercial Club and Mass Fuel Association. He was also a member of Brockton Kiwanis club. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St., Falmouth Center. sorry to here the passing of stewie i worked for him in burner service for 10 years. i was 21 when i started i am 73 now
