Constance Marie Maples



Constance Marie Maples, 69, of Locust Grove went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1938 in Charlottesville, VA to the late William and Audrey Ladd Vaughan.

Mrs. Maples was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to read. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and playing with her great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a devout Christian, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Sutherland and her husband, Michael, Jay Earley and his wife, Mary of St. Louis, Martin Earley of Boone, NC, Rick Earley and his wife, Corina of Savannah, GA, Ann Richardson and her husband, Lee of Atlanta, GA, and one brother, Ronald Vaughan of Richmond.

Additional survivors include five grandchildren, Christopher Earley of Locust Grove, Ashley Jarvis of Atlanta, GA, Alicia Earley of St. Louis, Amber Earley of St. Louis, Nancy Smith of Savannah, GA, and three great grandchildren, Kala, Foxx and Coby Earley of Locust Grove.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Maples and one son, Paul Earley.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Bernie Jernigan and Pastor, Capt. Chris Earley, U.S.M.C. officiating. A two hour visitation will be held prior to the service. graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Eden Cemetery in Sevierville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Open Door Baptist Church, 754 Germanna Hwy, Culpeper, VA 22701.
