Lillie Gates Obituary
Lillie May Gates, age 80, of Culpeper, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Gates was a homemaker. She was a native of Culpeper and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Gates is survived by her husband, Ellsworth Gates; daughter, Barbara (Walter, Jr.) Banks; son, Kelly E. Gates; grandchildren, Sharone Fenwick, Denise Strother, Daijah Tuel, Kendra Gates; six great-grandchildren, one sister, Alice Johnson and two brothers, Frank Hamilton and John Hamilton.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 7 to 8 p.m. for a viewing at Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station.
A funeral service will be at Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station at 12 Noon, Friday, October 3, 2008. The Rev. Reese Washington of Shiloh Baptist, officiating. Burial will be in the Culpeper National (New Section) Cemetery, in Culpeper.

To the Gates Family,
Miss Lillie was a beautiful and kind spirit that was so welcoming when I first met her, she always had a kind word to say and I always enjoyed the conversations we had just on anything.
Miss Lillie you will be so missed and are truly cherished.
