Family-Placed Obituary

Ronald James Bell died on Sunday, May 23, 2004, at the age of 59. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 7, 1944, to Edward James Bell and Dorothy Burns Bell. He attended Withrow High School in Cincinnati graduating in 1963. He then joined the Navy where he served as a corpsman and after an honorable discharge he continued to serve as a Navy reservist. He began his career in the computer industry in the 1960s, which brought him to Austin, TX, in 1981. At the time of his death he owned his own computer consulting business. He was an avid golfer and a big fan of the University of Texas Longhorns. He loved to cook, especially Italian food. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bell of Salado, TX; daughter and daughter-in-law, Ronda Bell and Amy Boatman of Austin, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kelly Bell of Seattle, WA; as well as numerous friends and business associates. Services will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at Salado Funeral Home in Salado, Texas at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Texas Association of Vietnam Veterans, P0 Box 40036 Austin, TX 78704 or the Rotary Club of Salado, P0 Box 965, Salado, TX 76571

Dear Cookie- I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. My husband, Ernie, died quite suddenly in January. I cannot begin to know what you are feeling, but feel as kindred by each passing. Please call me if you need someone to talk to. 554-6696 God Bless, Betsy Hodge
