Virgina Goodell Obituary

Virginia E. Goodell, 84, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in Kindred Hospital, Leicester. She was born in Worcester daughter of Elizabeth J. (Cowan) and Charles L. Goodell. Virginia attended Commerce High School. During WWII, she worked as an air-raid warden in the U.S.  She worked at the courtesy booth at Iandoli's for 15 years. She loved to crochet and take care of children.

She leaves a niece, Grace E. (Recko) Adams and her husband, James; and two grandnieces. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and John Recko.

The funeral service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Friday, April 4th, at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. For directions and on-line condolences, please visit:

Ginny was very good to us Cowan children, always remembering us at birthday time and Christmas.  We have good memories of her. God Bless her.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her at this time.
