Joseph V. "Curley" Dalimonte

Joseph V. "Curley" Dalimonte, age 84, of 7 Emmanuel Avenue, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. His wife, Josephine M. (Paglione) Dalimonte died April 12, 1987.

He leaves two sons, Joseph B. Dalimonte of Webster and Gary A. Dalimonte of Pomfret, CT; a daughter, Marilyn G. Dalimonte of Webster; a brother, Anthony Dalimonte of Webster; two sisters, Annie DiFederico of Dudley and Mary Marcone of Webster; a sister-in-law, Rita Dalimonte of Webster and five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Victorio Dalimonte and August Dalimonte, both of Webster.

He was born in Webster, son of the late Bartolemeo and Maria (Simone) Dalimonte and lived here all his life. He was a district supervisor for Boston Gas having retired after 43 years of service. He was an avid gardener and Red Sox fan. He enjoyed his friends at the American Legion and loved spending time with family and his cherished grandchildren.

Joseph's funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Louis Church, Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, April 8, 2008, 5:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marianapolis Prep School Scholarship Fund, PO Box 304, Thompson, CT 06277.
