Essie Penniman Obituary

Essie M. (Morris) Penniman, age 97, of 19 Main St. died Tue. April 22, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of the late Harry L. Penniman Sr. who died in March of 2003.

She leaves 3 sons, Harry L. Penniman Jr. of Dudley, Clifford M. Penniman of Dudley and Edward H. Penniman of Fabyan, CT. She also leaves 3 daughters, Carol Mason of Charlton, Martha Harrington of Charlotte, NC and Susan Archambeault of Charlton. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grand and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

She was born in Webster daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Nyquest) Morris and lived most of her life in Dudley and the past 15 years in Charlton. She was a graduate of Bartlett High School. She was a postal clerk for many years for the Dudley Post Office retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Dudley Grange, and the Conant Memorial Congregational Church in Dudley.

There are no calling hrs. Graveside services will be private at Corbin Cemetery in Dudley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Conant Congregational Church, Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley, MA 01571. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster is directing arrangements.
