Donald K. Bean Jr.

Donald Bean Obituary

Born in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Donald and Annie Bernice (Spencer) Bean. He was educated in Natick schools. During WW II and the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Bean was employed as a cable splicing supervisor for Cambridge Electric Light Co. retiring in 1990. Following his retirement he worked as a handyman for the Town of Westborough.

He was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church, a former member of the Masonic Lodge and of the VFW.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children, Cynthia D. Drisko and her husband, John, of Westborough, Donald K. Bean, III, and his wife, Cheryl, of Westborough, Ruth L. Spaulding and her husband, Mark, of Westborough and Robert W. Bean of Natick; one sister, Ellenmary Boeske of Maine; 10 grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Olive Frye.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 A.M. in the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main St., Westborough. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.

Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., are Friday, April 25, from 5 to 8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472
