Agnes Masley Obituary

Agnes was born in Dudley the daughter of Pavel and Suzanna (Kopas) Bielik and lived in the Webster-Dudley-Wilsonville area all her life. She worked over 38 years as a shoe stitcher at Bentley Shoe Corporation and retired from Stevens Linens in Dudley in 1993. Agnes was proud of her Slovak heritage. Her parents were founding members of St. Anthony of Padua Church and she was an early member of the St. Anthony Slovak Women's Club. Agnes loved her family dearly and spent much of her retirement attending competitions, graduations, special functions and events involving all her family. She was an active member of the Webster Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. Agnes enjoyed several retirement trips, including two overseas to Paris and Southern France as well as to Rome, Italy where she was part of a group that met personally with Pope John Paul II. Agnes was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and was a gifted crotcheter, knitter and quilter who cheerfully crafted handmade gifts for so many friends in her life - always delivered with a special touch of love. She enjoyed gardening at her home, and especially loved baking and cooking for family and her many friends. Agnes especially enjoyed sharing special times with her grandchildren. Her many acts of kindness and great sense of humor will be sorely missed by all.

Dear Michael, Joel, John and family,

It is with great sadness that I write this note extending my sympathy for your loss. Auntie Aggie was a wonderful person who I very much enjoyed spending time with whenever I got the chance. I was fortunate enough to take 2 special vacations with her; one in California and one in Rome. I have very fond memories of your mom on those trips. She was a lot of fun to travel with!

I know she will go to heaven and finally be reunited with you dad.

Love and God's Blessings,

David, Lee, Stephanie, and Matthew Manzi
