Catherine Marziotti Obituary

Catherine T. (Baronas) Marziotti, 80, of 12 Eustis St., died Sunday, May 25, 2008 in Saint Vincent Hospital, after a sudden illness.

She leaves her husband of 59 years, Pasquale J. Marziotti; a son, Joseph C. Marziotti of Worcester; a daughter, Patricia A. Duggan of Bailey, CO; a brother, John Baronas of Cocoa, FL; three brother-in-laws, Arthur Collins and Gerald R. Duclos both of Worcester and Paul Ferrante of West Boylston; two sister-in-laws, Grace Marzziotti of Worcester and Lena Ciociolo of West Boylston; many nephews and nieces; and dear friends, Eleanor Forleo of Auburn and Ted Rojciewicz of Millbury. Two sisters, Helen Duclos and Nellie Collins, three brother-in-laws, Louis Marzziotti, Henry Buffone and Louis Ciociolo, three sister-in-laws, Grace Baronas, Josephine Ferrante and Victoria Buffone, all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles and Ursula (Baronas) Baronas, and lived in Worcester her entire life.

Mrs. Marziotti was a graduate of Worcester Girls Trade in 1946 and worked as a hairdresser years ago. She was a singer with the Worcester Chorus at the Worcester Music Festival and with many local bands. She was a member of St. Christopher's Church, an artist, painter and avid arts and crafts enthusiast. She was a great wife and mother and enjoyed vacationing in New Hampshire and Vermont.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
