Irene Lee Obituary

Irene R. (Tenney) Lee, 87, of Oakridge Rd., died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after a brief illness. She was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada on June 17, 1920, the daughter of the late George A. and Christina R. (Wilken) Tenney. She was raised in Littleton, NH and was a graduate of Littleton High School. She worked at the J.J. Newberry Co. for many years.

Irene was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Stanley B. Lee, Jr. in August of 2007. She leaves her daughter, Carol L. Naughton of Walpole; her son, Brent S. Lee and his wife Linda L. Lee of Holden; her sister, Violet Bennett of Lancaster, NH; and her brother, George Tenney of Woodstock, GA. A grandson, Christopher J. Naughton, predeceased her. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Holden and a volunteer at the Corner Shop. Irene was an avid reader and a lifelong member of the "sewing club".

A private graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at Glenwood Cemetery, Littleton, NH. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden is directing arrangements.
