Douglas Daniels Obituary

Douglas J. Daniels, 80, of 5-4 Tuck Farm Rd., died Tuesday, June 17th at home following a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Joan C. (Gould) Daniels; 2 sons; Thomas A. Daniels and his wife Karen M. Rabideau of North Bend, Wash., and Scott D. Daniels of San Francisco, Calif; a brother, Leonard Daniels of Col.; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Alfred W. Daniels and a sister, Nancy A. Zuidema.

Mr. Daniels was a painter at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, before retiring in 1993. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Alfred G. and Annie A. (Peckett) Daniels. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. The family wishes to thank UMASS Memorial Hospice for their compassionate care of Doug prior to his death.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th at 2p.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are private.
