Beatrice Godbout Obituary

Beatrice "Bea" F. (Protan) Godbout, 89, formerly of 30 Prouty Lane, died Tuesday, June 17th in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband, Worcester Firefighter Arthur J. Godbout, Jr., died in 1969.

She leaves her son, Worcester Firefighter Kenneth A. Godbout and his fiancée, Nancy Seder of Worcester; a sister, Rita Sivula and her husband Walter of Murietta, CA; her dearest friend, Robin M. Godbout of Worcester; two nephews, Fred Theriault and his wife Linda, and Roger LeBouef; three nieces, Debbie Sivula, Linda Surabian and Suzanne Paré. Her brother, Lawrence Protan predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Lawrence and Louise M. (Domiano) Protan, and proudly lived in Worcester all her life. Bea was a graduate of Commerce High School; and will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Jewish Home Hospice, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
