Walter Mendala Obituary
His wife Suzanne L. (Brodeur) Mendala died in 2007. He leaves four daughters Linda Kittredge and her husband David of North Brookfield, Nancy Grenier and her husband Paul of Rutland, Christine Younger and her husband Gary of Queensbury, New York and Mary Allen and her husband Craig of Heber City, Utah, four grandchildren Brian Grenier, Danielle Allen, Nichole Allen and Lisa Morrissey, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is pre-deceased by two brothers Stanley and John Mendala.
Mr. Mendala was born in North Brookfield, son of Thomas and Sophie (Glod) Mendala. He worked in the shipping and receiving department at Flexcon Co. in Spencer for 23 years before retiring in 1996. He graduated from North Brookfield High School. He was a former coach and Vice President of the Spencer-East Brookfield Little League Association. He was a former Chief of Axillary Police in North Brookfield for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, woodcarving and long Sunday drives. He will be sadly missed.
The funeral will be Saturday, June 21 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at. 10 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Spencer-East Brookfield Little League, P.O. Box 101, Spencer, MA 01562.

I am Walters wife's (Suzanne) cousin. I moved to Utah in 1982 and saw Walter a few times when I would go back to Mass to visit. I was saddened to hear about his accident. He is with Suzanne now. He will be missed.
