Yvette Bernard Obituary

On June 20, 2008 God decided it was time to call home Yvette M. (Courtemanche) Bernard, 73, after a courageous battle. She died peacefully with family present and the angel staff of 7-ICU providing care at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester MA. She had many talents and interests but her main love was supporting and cherishing her family and friends. This special lady will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 52 years Donald A. Bernard of Southbridge MA, Daughters Deb Bettis and her husband Jon of Carlsbad CA, Denise Bernard of Southbridge MA, and two granddaughters Krystin Bettis and Keri Bettis of Carlsbad CA. She also leaves her sister Pauline Desroches and her husband Paul of Hamden, CT; two brothers Richard Courtemanche and his wife Celine of Parrish FL, Robert Courtemanche and his wife Bernice of Webster MA and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Webster the daughter of Theodore and Grace (Petrin) Courtemanche.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, June 27th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 1:00pm in St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, June 26th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers Yvette would enjoy Masses said in her memory and candles lit in her and her families honor.
