Francis Rogers Obituary

Francis W. Rogers, 65, of Worcester, died Monday, June 23 at The Meadows of Leicester.

He leaves a brother, Albert J. Rogers and his wife Linda of Spencer; three nephews: Eric Rogers of Monson, Kevin Scapone of Billerica, and Raymond Scapone of Woburn; a niece, Gina Rivers of Belchertown. He is predeceased by a sister, Sophie Scapone.

Mr. Rogers worked as an inspector for Smith Valve Corp. in Worcester, before retiring due to illness. He was born in Tewksbury, the son of Edith Rogers and was raised in Leicester by his foster parents, Joseph and Rose Sanborn. He enjoyed flower gardening.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 26 at 12p.m. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will be held on Thursday preceding the service from 11 a.m. to noon.
