Rita Baker Obituary

Rita Knox Baker, 81, of Worcester, MA died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, June 22, 2008. She leaves her daughter Cheryl A. Baker and her husband James Ryan of Stillwater, OK; son Jeffrey Baker and his wife Janice of Worcester; and daughter Susan K. Baker of New Boston, NH. She also leaves five grandchildren, Caitlin Ryan, of Paris, France, Daniel Ryan of Ithaca, NY, Jackson Ryan of Stillwater, OK, and Emma and Anna Baker of Worcester, MA. Additionally, she is survived by her brother James Knox of Seattle, WA.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Dr. Robert W. Baker, in March of 2004.

She will be remembered by all who knew her as a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was an outstanding gardener, quilter, and craftsperson who had a special skill for sharing her talents with others.

A private gathering is planned for friends and family.
