Yvonne B. Frew

Yvonne B. (Maurais) Frew, 96, formerly of Worcester died on Monday, June 23rd in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.

Her husband Walter H. Frew died in 1956. She is survived by a daughter Janice B. Miles of Danielson, CT; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter and many nephews and nieces. Yvonne was born in Worcester daughter of Octave and Bernadette (Cournoyer) Maurais and is predeceased by a daughter Beverly Roberge of Grafton and a sister Irene R. Langlois of Albuquerque, NM.

Mrs. Frew worked as a secretary for the Industrial Supply Company until her retirement. She spent her life working to help others, for many years providing service to her church parish. Her last job was as a Resident Volunteer at the Life Care Center, a job she continued until the last week of her life. Yvonne took this "job" very seriously and she was proud to be of service to her fellow residents and to the staff daily.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th at 7 PM in St. Joseph's Church 189 Oxford St. Burial will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Life Care Center of Auburn Patient Activity Fund 14 Masonic Circle Auburn, MA 01501 or to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
