Blanche Cross Obituary
She is survived by two brothers, Ernest Dacier of Washington, DC, and Dr. Donald Dacier of Hudson; a son, Dr. John Cross and his wife Dr. Elizabeth Seward of Shelburne, VT; and three daughters, Diane Smith of Oakham, Judith Snay and her husband Thomas of Oakham, and Carol Johnston and her husband Paul of Worcester; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Rev. Gerard Dacier and Roland Dacier, predeceased her. Blanche was born in Marlboro, the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Mayotte) Dacier, and moved to Worcester upon her marriage in 1946.
She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Worcester. Blanche will be remembered by her friends and family as a compassionate, loving and generous woman and will be greatly missed. Blanche was a wonderful mother and her children will always hold her dear in their hearts.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 1 from RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave, with a Mass at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 551 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass, followed by the burial at Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abby's House, 52 High St, Worcester, MA, 01609.

To the Cross family,
I am not sure if this is the same lady I use to see walking in St. Vincent Hospital with her daughter and if it isn't I am still very sorry for your loss. But if this is the same woman, please except my sincere sympathy. Blanche was quite a fiesty woman and I will miss seeing her and her daughter while I walk at St. Vincent Hospital.

If this is the same woman I have been seeing walking with her daugther at St. Vincent Hospital for a few years now, my heart goes out to you. She was such a fiesty woman and kept walking even if it wasn't fast enough for her. My prayers are with you all. She will be missed.
