Sulo Peura Obituary
He leaves a son, Dr. Robert A. Peura of Princeton; a sister, Elvi Haapanen of Madison, Ohio; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. His wife of 65 years, Hertta E. Peura, died in 2006. He is also predeceased by a grandson, Scott R. Peura. Sulo was born in Worcester and attended Worcester schools and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School. He was the son of Herman and Hulda (Ahala) Peura. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was active with the Cub Scouts. He worked at Firematic Co. of Shrewsbury as a foreman and previously with Rockwood Sprinkler Co. of Worcester
A private funeral service will be held in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, MA 01609, or the activities fund at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, 76 North Main St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
