Roseann Pinto Obituary

Mrs. Roseann (Sydoriak) Pinto, age 62, of 41 Meadow Pond Rd., formerly of Cheshire, CT., died Thursday July 3, 2008 at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, MA after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was the wife of John R. Pinto, also of Belchertown.

Mrs. Pinto was born in Bridgeport, CT. the daughter of Peter M. Sydoriak of Prospect, CT and the late Anne (Marus) Sydoriak. She had earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Southern Connecticut State University, and was retired as an elementary school teacher with the Cheshire, CT school system. She was a former communicant of St. Thomas Beckett Church in Cheshire, CT.

Besides her husband and father, Mrs. Pinto is survived by a daughter: Kristine (Pinto) Ljungberg and her husband Erik of Belchertown, MA, a brother: Peter M. Sydoriak Jr. and his wife Sandra of San Diego, CA and two granddaughters: Skye Amara Ljungberg and Sienna Rose Ljungberg.

Mrs. Pinto loved visiting with her granddaughters, vacations on Sanibel Island, FL, and her many German Shepherds.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Rd., Prospect, CT. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd., Route 69, Prospect, on Monday July 7, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT. 06111 or to the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Avenue, 1st Floor, Hartford, CT 06112.
