Jean D'Ambra Obituary

Jean E. (Walsh) D'Ambra, 52, of 126 Main St., formerly of Worcester, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 4, 2008, in her home.

She leaves a daughter, Jeannette L. Dakin and her husband Steve of Worcester; two sons, Raymond R. D'Ambra of East Brookfield and Shawn M. D'Ambra of Spencer; her parents, Charles W. and Claire E. (Desy) Walsh of Worcester; a brother, Charles W. Walsh, Jr. of Brookfield; five sisters, Cindy Bernard and Cathy Musiello, both of Sterling, Carol Bottcher of Dudley, Jean's twin sister, Jane Hippert of Worcester, and Jody Dalpe of Arizona; four grandchildren, Brittany Walsh, Gabrielle Dakin, Lydia Dakin, and Anthony Gabrilla; her former husband, Raymond R. D'Ambra of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, John Walsh, predeceased her.

Jean was born in Worcester, lived in California for several years, then returned to Worcester where she lived until moving to Spencer about 10 years ago. She was a volunteer worker at the Greendale YMCA for several years and enjoyed visiting Foxwoods.

A CALLING HOUR will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester, immediately followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 7 P.M., in the funeral home. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Directions and condolence book available at
