Mary Duquette Obituary

Mary T. (Browne) Duquette, 80, formerly of 279 James St., died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, with her family by her side, in Radius Healthcare Center of Worcester, 119 Providence St. Her husband of 57 years, William E. Duquette, died February 15, 2007. She leaves a son, William E. Duquette, Jr. and his wife Mary of Hickory, NC; 3 daughters, Susan M. Holiday and her husband Richard of Ellicott City, MD, Marianne Flannery of Worcester, Deborah J. O'Hern and her husband Timothy of Woodridge, IL; 3 brothers, Richard Browne, David Browne and James Browne, all of Worcester; 3 sisters, Helen Lambert and Catherine Shaughnessy, both of Worcester, Anne Marie "Nancy" Morrisey of Jonesboro, GA; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Patricia Gaboury of South Bend, IN, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Daniel D. and Helena F. (O'Callahan) Browne. She graduated from Commerce High School and was a life long resident of the city.

Mary was an underwriter agent for Hanover Insurance where she worked for 20 years until retiring in 1992. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, visiting Foxwoods, and was an avid sports fan.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Radius Healthcare Center of Worcester for their dedication and caring environment.

CALLING HOURS are 5 to 8 p.m. on FRIDAY, July 11, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10 a.m. on SATURDAY, July 12, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.

The family suggests donations in memory of Mary be made to Summit Elder Care Services, 277 East Mountain St., Worcester, MA 01606 or American Stroke Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Directions and condolence book available at
