One Woman’s Dream

It was one woman’s dream,
To create a better life for her and her children.
She came to this country over 50 years ago.

It was one woman’s dream,
To bring her family here
and allow them to prosper and grow.

Through her early years of pain and suffering,
To her latter years of pride and joy,
We all have her to thank, for what we have to show.

Meme was dear to each of us,
And will be missed by all.
We have so many stories to tell
For generations to recall

From the homemade donuts,
To Christmas party feasts,
To a quiet pancake breakfasts,
We’re not sure which we’ll miss the least.

From playing Bingo with the gang
At Chaffin’s and the casino
To all the trips she took
With her other two amigos

Her dream is over now,
Her journey has just begun.
Now she looks down upon us
Admiring what she has done.

Nana,

My life was so very blessed to have you as my grandmother. I didn't visit as often as I probably should have, but know that you were near to my heart always. I will miss you! You waited over 38 years to be with my Dad once again. Give him a big kiss and hug from me and tell him how much I love and miss him too. Say hi to Mike, Nana and Poppy too for me until we all meet again.

Love, kisses and prayers,

Mark & Jody

Meme,
You loved me, and cared for me! And then very upsetting news happened. You got very sick. I couldn't believe it when my Mom and Dad came home and told me you were very sick. Then a couple days later my Dad visited you. Then more upsetting news came, you had passed away.
I love you Meme and I will never forget you.

Love,
Kayla
