Lisa Ritchie Obituary

Lisa A. Ritchie, 31, of Worcester passed away Sun., July 13. She leaves her son, Cory Ritchie; her parents, Brad and Karen (Lamonda) Ritchie with whom she lived; two brothers, Bill Ritchie of Worcester and Matt Ritchie of Long Beach, CA; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Catherine Ritchie of Worcester and many aunts and uncles. Her maternal grandparents, Frederick and Marian Lamonda predeceased her. She was born in Worcester and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. Lisa was a sales coordinator for C.K. Smith Oil Company in Worcester. She enjoyed playing pool, reading and doing crafts.

A Graveside Service will be held Sat., July 19 at 10 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Fri., July 18. from 5 to 8 PM at Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. To place an on-line condolence, please visit

My heart is saddened to hear of Lisa's passing. She was a wonderful young woman with great potential. She loved life and she showed it. She loved her son Corey and we all knew it. I am sorry for your loss. I remember Lisa when we were kids, playing softball, being annoyed by her brothers and talking to me on the phone when I called Matt. I grew up with them on Vernon Hill and I will always remember Lisa as Matt's little sister.

How lucky are we to have known Lisa? Such a beautiful person, both inside and out. She came to visit him in his last days in the hospital 2 months ago and we spent hours upon hours talking. She was a wonderful woman with such a big heart and so full of life.
