Dear Mary, Patty, Joe and family:

My mother told me this morning of your mother's passing. I have fond memories of visiting you and staying in "the big city" for the weekend when I was young. (I very nearly drove your Father bonkers with my three times daily requests to visit the local candy store.)

Aunt Betty was genteel, kind and quite funny. She was the epitome of "lace curtain" Irish and she will be missed.

All our love from Chicago.
