Carroll Parker Obituary

Carroll C. Parker, 93, died June 4, 2008, in the Christopher House, after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Ella (McCollum) Parker, also of the Christopher House, and a daughter, Charity Parker Rinker, and her husband, Mark, of Ringoes, NJ; a brother, Richard Parker, and wife, Claire, and a sister, Edith Parker Savage, both of Maine, and several nephews & nieces.

Born in Norway, Maine, son of Elmer and Bessie (Brown) Parker, Carroll graduated from the Univ. of Maine, and worked for many years at US Rubber, then with Curtis & Marble Machine in Worc., as well as starting his home business, Amicus Emptoris in Shrewsbury.

Mr. Parker, served with the US Air Corps, in the So. Pacific during World War II, where he climbed to the rank of Captain. He was a long time active member of the First Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m, Saturday, July 26, in the Davis Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Worcester, 111 Park Ave. There will be no calling hours, and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the American Heart Assoc., or the Salvation Army, in his memory.
