Louise Bell Obituary

Louise M. (Dobson) Bell, 85, of Shrewsbury died Sunday, July 20th in her home after an illness.

She leaves her husband and best friend, George R. Bell whom Louise would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with in October; her loving daughter, Nancy J. Favulli and her husband, Paul H. Favulli of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Robert Dobson and his wife, Virginia of Westborough and Everett T. Dobson and his wife, Ann Marie of Florida; a sister, Shirley Parsons of Shrewsbury and her two cherished granddaughters, Elizabeth Jean Favulli of Boston and Kathryn Bell Favulli of Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis.

Louise was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Reuben and Mary (Currie) Dobson and had lived in Shrewsbury for the past 60 years. She had worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Robert Anderson in Worcester for many years before she retired. She previously had been employed by Spag's.

She was a member of Salem Covenant Church in Worcester; a member and former officer of the Stella Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; and a member of the Women's' Auxiliary of the Frohsinn Club in Shrewsbury. Louise enjoyed spending many hours in her flower garden at her home.

Louise was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her two precious granddaughters' whom she was very proud of.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Louise's family on Wednesday, July 23rd from 4-7 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Funeral services for Louise will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 10 A.M. in Salem Covenant Church, 215 East Mountain Street, Worcester, MA 01606. Burial will be in the family lot in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial contribution can be made to U-MASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester 01605 or to a charity of one's choice.

George, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of Louise. She was so sweet and I'll always remember her bringing over a beautiful hanging plant when we moved in across the street. She always looked out for us and we have great memories of that little house and our time in Shrewsbury. God Bless,
