Mary Suchecki Obituary

Mrs. Mary E. (Walsh) Suchecki, 88, of Worcester, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Knollwood Nursing Center.

Born and raised in Wakefield, Mrs. Suchecki graduated from Wakefield High School and The Beverly Hospital School of Nursing. She worked first at Beverly Hospital and as an industrial nurse for a local defense contractor involved in the Manhattan Project during World War II. She was later employed at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas and retired as the head nurse of the nursery at Nix Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

A resident of Worcester since 2003, and wife of the late Peter J. "Joe" Suchecki, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Thomas Brouillard of Worcester; two grandchildren: Christina (Brouillard) Hoover and her husband William of Ellington, CT., and Thomas D. "TJ" Brouillard, Jr., of Waltham; two great-grandchildren; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 24, at 9a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. in All Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Memorial donations may be made to any local chapter of the St. Vincent-de-Paul Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Dear Marybeth:

On behalf of all the team at Summit ElderCare in Worcester we extend our heartfeldt condolences on the death of our friend Mary.

Please rest your sorrow in the belief that you Mary Beth and your wonderful family extended Mary's quality of life for many years. You are a wonderful daughter, wife and mother and Mary was your model.
