Marjorie Rowden Obituary

Marjorie E. (Dorr) Rowden,79, of 76 Hemlock St., died suddenly, Saturday, July 26 at her home.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Webb N. Rowden. Two sons Mark Rowden and his wife Linda and Steven Rowden and his wife Beth all of Leicester, a daughter Gail Provo and her husband Bruce of Rochdale, a sister Annette Tharp of San Antonio, TX. and a brother Roger Dorr and his wife Mary of Worcester, 6 grand children, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister Jane Bronnes. Marge was a customer service representative at Norton Co. in Worcester for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Senior Citizen Club of Leicester. Marge and Web celebrated their birthdays, and their 60th.wedding anniversary in June. She loved her family above all else and cherished time at home with them. She always knew just what to say and couldn't have been more proud of the people who surrounded her. She and Webb enjoyed traveling to many locales. Born in Ware, she was the daughter of Harry and Elda (Bousquet) Dorr. She graduated from Leicester High School.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 10 a.m. in the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held for Marge on Monday, July 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be sent to V.N.A. Care Network, Inc., 120 Thomas St., Worcester, Ma. 01608.

Mark,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I know it is a difficult time. It is funny that someone else mentioned the similarity between your smile and mom's, for that is the first thing I saw when I saw that great picture. She will be in my prayers.

I'd like to express my sincere sympathy go to the Rowden, Provo families. Marge was a happy cheerful person. Most of all, she loved her family and was proud of each and every one. She will be sadly missed.

To everyone in the Rowden family:
So sorry to read about Marge's passing.
I remember all the wonderful times being with her at many family and social functions many years ago when I lived in Leicester.
Marge was full of fun and full of life and shared it with her family and others who were fortunate to know her.
Remember the good times with her. She was a celebration of life.
