Richard Oslebo Obituary

Richard G. Oslebo, 78, formerly of Holden and Rutland, died July 17 in the Hospice of Volusia, Orange City, Florida with his family at his side.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene M. (Edgren) Oslebo; a daughter, Cynthia L. Lantiegne of Rutland and a son, Gary R. Oslebo of Palm Harbor, Florida.

He leaves six grandchildren; Eric, Nathan, and Sara Lantiegne and Damian, Juliet, and Christopher Oslebo. He also leaves one great-grandson, Kody Lantiegne and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was born in Holden, the son of the late Ola and Thora Oslebo. He leaves a brother, Ronald Oslebo, and two sisters; Edith Swenson and R. Shirley Lind all of Holden and was pre-deceased by a sister Ella Santimaw.

Richard graduated from Holden High School and Worcester Junior College with a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired after 29 years from Heald Machine as a project design engineer.

He was a volunteer with the Holden Fire Department for 23 years. He was a long time member of the Chaffins Men's Club.

Richard proudly served in the United States Marine Corps attaining rank of staff sergeant.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Holden, and the Scandinavian Athletic Club of Shrewsbury. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Richard was a kind, devoted and loving husband and father.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
