Amy Shepard Obituary

Amy J. (St. John) Shepard, 86, of Worcester, died Thursday, July 24th, in the St. Francis Nursing Home, after an illness, surrounded by her family.

Her husband, Elmer Shepard, died in 1959. She is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Nisula and her husband Paul of Worcester; a son, Wayne P. Shepard and his wife Diane of Sturbridge; her companion, Francis Ducharme of Worcester; three grandchildren, Tammy Greany, Katrina Fischer, and Wayne Shepard, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kassandra, Tayla, and Samantha and many nieces and nephews.

Amy was born in Worcester, daughter of Peter and Edith (Knight) St. John and is predeceased by five sisters and brothers. Before her retirement, she worked as a stitcher at Davies Pocketbooks in Worcester.

The funeral will be held on Monday, July 28th at 11:30 a.m. in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 28th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Home, Patient Activity Fund, 101 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
