Genevieve T. Bostrom

Genevieve T. (Metivier) Bostrom, 90, formerly of Charlton, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 in Webster Manor. Her husband of 48 years, Robert E. Bostrom died in 1995. She leaves behind four children: David E. Bostrom and his wife Mary of Wallingford, CT., Janet M. wife of Victor Volpe of South Kingstown, R.I., John R. Bostrom and his wife Cathy of Charlton, and Terry A. Pipes and her husband Dennis of Asbury, N.J. She was a loving grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and also leaves several nieces and nephews. Genevieve was born in Thorne, North Dakota, daughter of Alfred and Eugenie (Perron) Metivier and grew up in Northbridge and later moved with her family to Worcester and was one of seven sisters and one brother. Genevieve loved gardening, reading, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd., Charlton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church, 10 H-Putnam Rd., in Charlton. Cemetery services will be private with immediate family at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
