James Dube Obituary

James G. Dube Sr., 64, of South Grafton, died Tuesday, July 29th in his home, after an illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his wife of 23 years, Sandra L. (Ballard) Dube; two sons, James G. Dube Jr. of Whitinsville and George Dube of South Grafton; a daughter, Tina Gibson of Georgia; a step-son, Joseph Maynard III and his wife Mandy of South Grafton; two step-daughters, Amy King and her husband Ed of North Grafton and Sherry Maynard of Sutton; two sisters, JoAnn Perkins and Gloria Gurski both of New Hampshire; three step-brothers and three step-sisters; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Whitinsville, son of the late George Dube and has lived in South Grafton for 57 years. He is predeceased by his brother, Harold "Coco" Gauthier. He was educated in the Worcester schools.

James worked at Electro Wire in Leominster before retiring due to illness. He was an old car buff and loved working with wood.

His funeral and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, in Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701. Condolence book available at:

Pepe,
when you first came in to my life i was about 4 or 5 years old and at first i was scared of you but then when i got to know you more i was like he is really nice, kind, and a wonderful pepe to me, tia, and max. i was glad that you excepted me in ur family and i thank you alot and if i never met you i would be missing a great person in my life. you never yelled at me and you always let me ride a tractor and i bought one off of you thats how much i liked it. i never told you this but i am going to tell you now i love you so much pepe you made a big part of my life.

Jimmy, for the short time i've known you you really taught me alot. There was never ever a dull moment being around you. Like Amy said i dont think of this as a goodbye because i will see you again someday. You touched alot of lifes and ment alot to people. The suffering is over now and you can now rest in peace. I love you very much you are my inspiration!!! You taught me how to be strong and I am very grateful for that. A big part of my world is gone now but I know you are around all of us and looking over us. No more pain, you are at peace now. I miss you so much Jimmy. Tia and Max were blessed to have you as their pepe they love you very much and miss you. You are a great person and a great dad!!! You are in my heart and my thoughts always.
