Richard Plante Obituary

Richard A. Plante, 79, of Linwood St., died Sat., Aug 2, at Milford Regional Hospital, after being stricken ill.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Theresa L. (Jacques) Plante; 3 sons, Richard D. Plante of Salem, MA, Kenneth M. Plante and Robert P. Plante of North Uxbridge; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edward Plante of Milford and Ronald Plante of Worcester and several nephews and nieces.

Born on March 30, 1929, in Linwood, MA, he was the son of the late Rosaire and Bertha (Jacques) Plante and has lived in North Uxbridge all of his life. Mr. Plante worked for 12 years at the former Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville and at Sealtest Foods in Natick for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during WWII and was a member and past treasurer of the Uxbridge Progressive Club.

His funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Donations in memory of Richard may be made to St. Camillus Health Center Memorial Fund, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
