John Herholz Obituary

John August Herholz, Jr., 65, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, formerly of Leicester, passed away on July 10th, 2008. He is survived by his brother Bruce R. Herholz of Spencer. He is predeceased by his father John August Herholz Sr., his mother Salley (Underhill) Herholz, and his sister Joann Waite.

John graduated from North High in Worcester in 1961 and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute in 1963. After graduating from WITI, John served in the United States Navy on the destroyer tender the U.S.S Arcadia. Over his life time, John worked as a machinist, mechanic, in real estate, and as a truck driver.

A grave side memorial service is being planned for sometime in October.

As another one of John's 6 step-children, I would also like to say that we will miss him so very much. Out of all of us, I was the closest to him. He was the only Dad I really ever knew. He will remain in my heart for the rest of my lifetime. I am sad to say that my daughter will never get to know her Grampa John.
